Pinot Done Right

Recently the CHOW test kitchen tasted a few bottles of MacMurray Ranch 2005 Pinot Noir, and we can confidently report that 2005 was a good year. This Pinot dripped with dark fruit flavors and oak—but subtly, a happy discovery in a landscape overrun with too big, too bold flavors. We enjoyed it with slices of Capricious cheese, but this would accompany a juicy grilled pork chop just as well.
