The BBC writes that Britain’s famous Fat Duck restaurant is adding sound to its food’s already formidable arsenal of appeal.
Sound of the Sea, on the menu of the three-Michelin-starred Fat Duck restaurant, features seafood and edible seaweed on a bed of sand-like tapioca — all washed down with the sound of breaking waves.
While this may sound like a Fat Load, the restaurant’s owner claims that research carried out at someplace called “Oxford University” has revealed that sound has the capacity to augment the sensation of taste.
