Checking In on La Boulange at Starbucks

When Starbucks bought Bay Area bakery La Boulange last year, fans were curious as to how entrepreneur Pascal Rigo's pastries would translate to the international caffeine empire. Reports so far describe stale, "dreadful" offerings, though the chocolate banana swirl croissant (pictured, and which didn't appear at the original La Boulange) gets a vote of approval.
