A Connecticut Lobster Roll in Salem

At The Lobster Shanty in Salem, you can find traditional New England lobster rolls (with mayo and celery), but you can also order them "Connecticut style": warm lobster meat and drawn butter on a toasted bun. The Lobster Shanty menu lists this as a "stripped down lobster roll," and MichaelB says it's a nice choice.

"The lobster meat itself was great—tender and sweet. Not really heavily buttered at all—the roll actually held up until the end," MichaelB says.

The lobster rolls are $19, and come with french fries. MichaelB would definitely consider returning. "I wouldn't make a special trip for it, but if you're in Salem it's a good option."
