@davis- You can actually stick your entire hand in liquid nitrogen and it will come out fine as long as you don't hold it down in there. Because of the leidenfrost effect you have some LN2 that instantly vaporizes and has a cushion of air between you and the liquid. People also have demonstrated the effect with hot lead poured on your wet hand because the lead will instantly vaporize the water...+READ
