Overheard on the Home Cooking Board

"I mix about equal parts cream cheese and blue cheese until it comes together and is well blended. Then I essentially wrap grapes with that mixture and roll each in chopped nuts (walnuts typically)—it takes a few to get the hang of it but is very easy to do. They are a great little bite." - thimes on a favorite tapa

"Romaine is quite tasty on the grill. Split in half and char a bit. It doesn't need to cook through. Then use an anchovy-garlic dressing, Parmesan. It ends up more side dish than salad and very good with simple fish." - JudiAU

"There are plenty of dishes I've made which are time/labor/cost intensive, and those I just decide never to cook *on a regular basis*. But then, I just wait until I get the mood or time, extra $$ or special occasion incentive, then break them out again. I will always prefer home-made to anything else, so what I actually eat day-to-day just depends on mood and opportunity." - emilyjh75
