Naia Frozen Gelato Bars Boast Local Flavors

Naia's Bar Gelato, which one hound picked up at a Santa Rosa Whole Foods in the freezer section, comes in a few flavors recognizable to local foodies, like TCHO chocolate, Blue Bottle coffee, and St. George single-malt whiskey.

The icy, crystallized texture of the pistachio bar didn't win fans. Robert Lauriston recommends leaving the bar on a countertop for 10 minutes to banish any frostiness.

Which flavors are most pleasing? One young hound-in-training found the grapefruit sorbetto too intense; chocolate, pistachio, and whiskey flavors are better.
