"We are so blessed to have them in the nabe. Although the store is crowded, checkout is a breeze with many cashiers on hand. Great selection of everything and my newest favorite discovery: Smoked Cerignola Olives!!!! on the olive bar." – UES Mayor on the newest Fairway Market, just opened on the Upper East Side
"The bread is a little less crusty than it is in the Brooklyn places that serve the dish, but the sauces and fillers—pickles, lettuce, etc.—are good and the chicken cutlet is greaseless and pounded just right." – BMartin on the Israeli-style schnitzel sandwich at Holy Schnitzel in Staten Island
"You come here for the steaks and meats, nothing else. Don't get the appetizers, don't get the wine, don't get the fish or pasta, they are all pretty average. The flank steak for two (21 dollars) feeds me and my three kids and is my favorite. The various grills and platters (sweetbreads, sausages, and various cuts of meat) are huge and equally as good as the flank steak. The flank steak, a Quilmes beer (pretty bad beer, but when in Rome), and some chimichurri sauce is all I need to be happy." – driggs on La Esquina Criolla in Queens
