Japanese curry has, as bigwheel042 says, "a sauce that's more like a spiced brown gravy" than what you may be used to getting when you order a curry. It's usually served over pork or chicken cutlets.
Delica's meat and vegetarian versions hit the right note with farmersdaughter; Keesey likes the JapaCurry truck's katsu, but thinks Muracci's ranks best in class for spice level and freshness, plus the pickled veggies are a bonus.
