Overheard on the Home Cooking Board

"I use the leftover coffee to make iced coffee in two steps. The first part is filling an ice cube tray with the leftover coffee. The second part is just refrigerating the leftover coffee. The morning I plan to have it, I then have both coffee and coffee flavored ice cubes. Thus no dilution or 'weak' iced coffee. It works great, saves all those leftovers, and is really refreshing." - LNG212

"You can bake potatoes in [a slow cooker] without heating up the kitchen...I buy 4 baking potatoes, prick with a fork, stand them on end, close lid and put on LOW for about 5 or 6 hours." - Val

"I like them totally plain so the delicate flavor of the flower comes through. Dipped in a tempura batter of cornstarch, flour and seltzer, fried in olive oil, sprinkled with kosher salt, eaten at the moment." - escondido123 on zucchini blossoms
