"My favorite 'cheap meat cheat' are their off-cut Filet Mignons. They're not pretty and are all kinds of goofy shapes, but the meat's fantastic and only $6.99/lb." – Boston_Otter on McKinnon's Meat Market
"I love love love Barismo, both for the quality of their beans and for their incredible service if you stop by the shop in Arlington." – celeriac on the coffee roaster
"Standouts were pork loin with risotto, bacon-wrapped trout, and the barrel-aged Ford cocktail. The pork in particular was unusually moist and flavorful. The Ford is in the Martini vein, with Old Tom gin, dry vermouth, Benedictine, and orange bitters. It was good: herbal, subtle, smooth, and slightly sweet, although I was surprised that they served it on the rocks." – nickls on Temple Bar
