Overheard on the Los Angeles Board

"It's a giant bowl of pho, with a noticeably dark broth. The broth isn't spice forward by any means, but there's big beefy flavor there with a nice, fatty richness. You get a hefty chunk of thinly sliced Kobe beef, kind of reminiscent of Hanoi style pho with the filet chopped up and slightly rare in the middle." - maiweezy on the Kobe beef pho at Noodle Guy

"For entrées, I had something called 'The Camping Trip.' It was seared rare salmon on a hot river stone with rustic potatoes, greens, and bacon dressing. It was sizzling when it came out to me because the stone is heated to 500 degrees. The potatoes were sliced and super crisp. ... The fish was not as rare as I thought it would be, but I enjoyed the crisp sear outside. The sizzle was so fun." - attran99 on Owen's Bistro

"The fish was very fresh—I was pleasantly surprised. The fish sticks were also most likely prepared on the premises because they were fried with batter, not bread crumbs." - raytamsgv on Big Shrimps Fish Grill
