Using a general search engine to look for recipes, and clicking on each link to see if it's in the ballpark, is suddenly old-school. Foodily draws its search results from sites all over the Web, including both blogs and big recipe sites, and allows you to disallow ingredients you don't want. "It is quite amazing," says beggsy. "Your search results come up with photos and ingredient list." Click on a result and it shows a partial screen capture with a link to the source so you can view the full recipe.
Discuss: New recipe search site...
Found a great recipe for dinner tonight. Thanks! I was able to delete dairy which was great.
I tried a search on this site just now, and I like it! It's very helpful to be able to pre-exclude ingredients you don't have on hand from a recipe search. (On the other hand, if excluding a certain ingredient instantly reduces one's hits with this search engine to zero, maybe it's time to add that ingredient to the list for one's next trip to the grocery store!)
