  • Angelica's Bakery has the best Irish Soda Bread. It cost very little $4.00 caopare to the city for $8.00. They also have great scones.

  • It depends on what you mean by soda bread. Soda bread in Ireland is a hearty, savory bread that often includes wholemeal flour. The sweet kind you get in America with raisins is what is usually referred to as Barmbrack. You can get proper soda bread in the Ctown on Katonah Ave or in any of the smaller delis that sell imported Irish products in Woodlawn.

  • There are a couple of bakeries on McLean in Yonkers, down by Eileen's Country Kitchen (a great place for real-deal Irish food; she always has nice soda bread in the basket they put down on the table. She might could tell you where to get it.) Not Irish, but worth noting, is the old Artuso's pastry shop (originally of Arthur Ave) which is across the street at the corner of Glover and McLean.

  • Mother's on Johnson Avenue in Riverdale usually makes Irish Soda Bread for St. Patrick's Day.
