Overheard on the Boston Board

"At least for pho, I think Pho Pasteur is still the best in Chinatown with the deepest broth. All other elements of pho being generally the same at other places (i.e., the noodles, the fresh veggie plate on the side, and the sliced meat/tendon/etc. in the soup itself), the depth of flavor in the broth is what sets a really good bowl of pho apart from others." – Mike5966

"Their Sichuan double-cooked pork belly was loaded with black bean salty goodness as well as a fair amount of huajiao oil, and the gan guo fish fillets were at least as good as Lao Sichuan Framingham (the only other place I know that makes them) and probably better." – KWagle on New Shanghai Restaurant

"It's a small restaurant with exceptional customer service and wonderful homemade Italian food. I recommend the eggplant rollatini, tortellini soup, ravioli Greca, and homemade tiramisu for dessert." – galangatron on Alia
