Noni Juice: “The Foulest Liquid I Have Ever Tasted”

People outside the Chowhound community seem to be all excited over this stuff called noni juice. Proponents claim it cures cancer and hangovers alike, though many, including ipsedixit, declare it bunk.

Aesthetically, most find it repellant. Reports range from “pretty foul” to “the foulest liquid I have ever tasted,” though coll thinks the taste is nice and rather flowery. People hawk it for $40 to $60 in varying quantities, says welle, but Costco sells noni juice for around $15, if you’re curious or the victim of a dare.

  • You should try Goji Juice in lieu of Noni...it has similar health benefits and tastes great! I've been drinking it for over two months now. I sleep better, have yet to get sick, and I've been feeling calmer, upbeat, and less stressed. I don't know if I can give all the credit to the juice, but it has sure helped! Plus, I enjoy drinking it...it tastes really good. Let me know if you need help...+READ

  • I've been drinking a shot of noni juice for about a year now. I don't know if the results are psychosomatic or not but I used to suffer from irritable bowel syndrome and irregular menstrations. My menstration is back to normal and I rarely have any IBS problems.

    As far as the taste is concerned, I've never thought it was bad. It tastes like grape juice to me. I buy the Tahitian Noni which I understand tastes much better than other brands.

    Although the bottles are a bit expensive, I think it has done me a world of good.-COLLAPSE
