Bosnian Fast Food

Bosnian fast food is something that should be experienced at least once, says Cheese Boy. It can be really good—or really bad, depending on the eatery.

Bosnian fast food is mostly about cevapi (grilled hunks of minced beef), ajvar (a thick purée of bell peppers, eggplant, garlic, and chiles), onions, cheese, and good pita bread. And what cheese! Many places offer freshly made burek, pastries stuffed with savory fillings. “If it wasn’t for all the butter, I could eat pumpkin burek … every day,” says Cheese Boy.

  1. Awesome article…

I am creating a recipes blog where there will be recipes translated on English as well! :)
I figured a lot of people wanted recipes but there weren’t that many resources. I just started out so not many recipes, so far Burek recipe is available. But I plan on adding one recipe with English translation daily.
BTW, Burek is a meat pie! :)
