Lou Malnatti’s in Chicago makes the quintessential version of the deep-dish pizza. It’s a favorite of denizens of the Windy City.
OneJaneDoe has ordered the pizzas for home and while traveling. They’ve always arrived in good shape. Bake on a pizza stone, or directly on the oven rack. They’re expensive, at $38 for a 9-inch pie. If you order in quantity, it’ll bring the shipping cost down on each pie. Buy a gift card for a special pizza-loving someone, or ask for one for yourself!

I’m thinking about ordering a Lou Malnati’s Pizza [Moved from Chains board]

I am issuing a pizza challenge. Lou Malnatti’s has been a Chicago favorite for years, amongest other Chicago pizza joints. However they have lost their luster do to the fact that are a multi-chain store. You no longer get the passion and freshness that once went into their pizzas.
That is why I am issuing a challenge. Best Chicago style pizza ever. I can make that claim and no can say other wise until they try my pizza. We are a small pizzeria in Geneva IL. and our customers will tell you we are the best. I will match their 9 inch pie with a 14 inch pie for the same price as Lou Malnatti’s that way you try for yourself and see why Bellagio’s have the best pizza ever!!

We were in Chicago a few weeks ago and ate at Malnatti’s on Wells Street for the first time. When the waiter told us the pizza would take 35 minutes, we were delighted, knowing that they were not going to pull one out of the freezer.
If there is a better pizza anywhere, I can’t imagine it. The roma tomatoes and chunks of lean sausage made it a real treat.
Another nice thing about that restaurant: No loud music blaring. We were actually able to relax and relive our day at the Art Institute of Chicago.
