This is the easiest, quickest, most delicious, no-bake mac & cheese recipe ever.
This recipe was handed down from my grandmother, but as it only has three main ingredients, its hardly a recipe at all. I am a HUGE mac-a-chee fan, and while I love some restaurant mac & cheese dishes using exotic cheeses and baked to perfection, this is the best home-made stove-top version I’ve ever had.

The Best Baked Macaroni and Cheese
This is Mac and Cheese at its finest. The homemade and "from scratch" taste makes all the difference. This recipe also has a history. My grandparents met in WWII: the ultimate love story. My grandfather was a soldier and my grandmother was a Red Cross nurse. While stationed in France, comfort foods were rare but greatly cherished. My grandmother would make this for my grandfather using the ingredients from the base. Sometimes substitutions would be made, depending on the availability of the goods, which is why this recipe is also very versatile. They got married and kept this recipe to make for their children, and eventually grandchildren. They have both passed, but their recipe lives on, and serves as a delicious reminder of my grandmother's talents in the kitchen. This is the ultimate comfort food!
