My family and friends enjoys this dish for the holidays, it fills the air with the scent of apples and spices. This dish is great for pot luck dinners, everyone enjoys it, it makes people feel good.

1 cup packed brown suar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup of water
2Tablespoon butter
1 Can of apple pie filling
1package of Lemon Cake mix.
3 Large eggs
1/3 cup of cooking oil
1 1/4 cup of water

For the sauce combine brown sugar, flour , cinnamon and salt in a small baking dish. Gradually stir in 1 cup water. Add butter set aside.

Spread apple pie filling in 13 x9x2 inch pan.

Combine dry cake mix, eggs, oil and 1 1x4 cups water in large mixer bowl. Mix as directed on package. Spread batter evenly over the apples.

Preheat oven to 350 F.. Bake cake and sauce for 43 to 48 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. To serve spoon warm cake and apples in serving bowls and top with sauce.
