That’s a brief sampling (via Louisiana radio station WWL)
of the puritanical crazies who don’t think President Obama should ever get to enjoy a beer. Footage of the president at an NBA basketball game touched off the brewhaha, with callers split between thinking the guy’s only human, and saying that taking a moment to relax during a national crisis is borderline criminal.
Naughty naughty! guess he should drink wine with dinner either. For heaven sake, what would these people have him or any other head of state do? Drink well water.
Some people judgments are too silly for words. What more can I say?

Churchill was a notorious drunk, and he won the war! I remain amazed by the hypocrisy of America, where an atheist can’t get elected, but a Bible-thumping cretin can invade a country and slaughter half a million people just to cover his daddy’s cowardice in the first Gulf Slaughter.
Hell yes he can have a drink once in a while. And furthermore, if there is any crisis let him smoke all the newports he wants.
Well, I enjoy an adult beverage now and again, and wouldnt want to deny him one or 2….I just wish he would stop spending money like a drunk on payday. And that goes for all those drunks in Washington

And during the campaign, people griped that he was “out of touch” if he didn’t down shots or eat greasy diner food like Hillary. Some people are just never happy.
Whatever. Man puts in 10 to 12 hours in the office everyday, and gets more briefings on weekends than Bush did. If he wants to drink one beer while watching his Bulls get beat, why can’t he?
