A Blizzard of Beer

Bud Light is no longer the world’s most ubiquitous piece of litter. The former global best-selling beer brand has been dethroned by Snow Beer, a joint venture between SABMiller and a Chinese company. It sold a mere 1.35 billion gallons last year, slightly more than Bud Light, and its rise has been meteoric: Only six years ago it was selling less than a tenth of that amount.

But it’s still not available outside China, and judging from the reviews online, you really don’t want to try it. One blogger’s review includes the sentence “I want to say ‘soap’ again,” and a BeerAdvocate reviewer concludes that “you’d have to be having a pretty shitty day to drink a second one.”
