Old Overholt is cheaper and seems to be more readily available than other rye whiskeys, which is why it’s doubly exciting that it’s so good. Try making your Manhattans with Old Overholt and see how quickly they disappear. Another OO fan here. I’ll also give a shout out to my favorite cheap bourbon whiskey that I discovered through Chowhound years ago: Evan Williams. Nice for sippin, and it even comes in a glass bottle.
