A Fish Story

That slicker-wearing Gorton’s Fisherman may be hot, but can the seafood company’s mascot really be trusted, now that a mom and her daughter have found unidentified pills lurking inside their Crispy Battered Fish Fillets?

The AP article says the beige pills won’t be identified until early this week. What? Doesn’t the laboratory where the pills were sent have Internet access? At any rate, beef producers are probably heaving a sigh of relief, as this fish recall has momentarily knocked the enormous beef recall of a couple of weeks ago off the top of the tainted-food news.

  1. PILLS in the fish fillets? What were those Moonies thinking????

  2. OK, two things: you can’t tell what a pill is just by looking at it, especially after it’s gotten wet and microwaved. And also, you DO know that the FBI determined that one of the family’s kids added the pills?
