It must be silly season for state legislatures. First Mississippi wants to ban the obese from eating in public, now Kentucky is considering legislation designed to honor favorite son Colonel Harland Sanders (of KFC fame).
On its surface, the bill seems tame enough. It seeks to make fried chicken Kentucky’s official picnic food and specifically mentions Colonel Sanders’s “Original Recipe.” But PETA, which maintains that KFC chickens are raised in a cruel manner, is speaking out against the bill. According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, “‘If the state legislature moves forward with this one, then they should change Kentucky’s state bird from the cardinal to the debeaked, crippled, scalded, diseased, dead chicken,’ said PETA vice president Bruce Friedrich.”
In other PETA campaigns, the group’s Asia-Pacific chapter has a new promotion in mind for Valentine’s Day: It will be putting posters in Manila hotels implying that meat-eating causes impotence. The poster shows a motel patron unsuccessful in his lovemaking with the slogan “Eating meat got you down? Get it up. Go vegetarian!”

as far as the PETA valintines day thing ,thats really dumb
i mean IF that were true we wouldn’t the population we have now, and IF it were true science would have found this out long before pETA lame excuses
besides eating the meat is part of the process (yeah know what i mean)
