We’ve covered Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories before (when they invented a 3-D sugar printer). Today, the estimable DIYers announced a major scientific breakthrough: edible googly eyes!
Using food-grade gelatin capsules, jumbo rainbow nonpareils, and a base such as sliced malted milk balls, the geniuses have created googly eyes that not only roll enticingly, but are good enough to eat. The mad scientists use theirs to adorn an edible flying spaghetti monster, but we’re sure you can think of your own applications. After all, most food just looks better with googly eyes—and these are so much better than the gummi version.
