In many high-end restaurants, asking for tap water instead of a fancy bottled option seems to carry a mark of shame—even though it’s better for the environment and it tastes fine. Some restaurants are taking the responsible route and serving tap water in style. At a recent night out at Providence in LA, the server poured me water from a pitcher by the beloved designer Michael Aram. Suddenly my water choice of taking back the tap went from shabby to sophisticated.

Cheri Bibi?? A Paris?!
oui, c’est moi.
Dude! I am so for it! We are being charged up to $5. for a bottled water when we ask for “water” to drink! I just completed a letter to a local restaurant where I spent nearly $15 for water for our part of 10, telling them I would not be back unless this policy changes.
