Supermarket Sandwich

London, England

Today I scour the budget bin at a supermarket called Sainsbury’s and buy several cheddar-and-chutney sandwiches marked down to about $1.50. This is soul- and stomach-saddening, and I’d rather not dwell on it. But the situation is, our team has just learned we’ll have to pour more than $400 into our car to make it purr in time for tomorrow’s rally start. Who knew radiators were so important?

Comments

  1. How sad is it that those little packaged sandwiches in London make me so damned happy?

  2. I survived on Sainsbury sandwiches for lunch while staying in London on vacation. I was on a tight budget and it seemed healthier and more affordable than greasy takeaway. Left me with money to treat myself to nice Indian and British food at night.

  3. I love london sandwiches, they have best combos
