My boyfriend and I got rid of everything we owned when we moved in together recently, and bought new and secondhand stuff together. We wanted to get a pared-down, deliberate set of matching kitchenware and ended up at Heath Ceramics, where we found lots of good stuff. It was also at Heath where we saw The Most Beautiful Dining Table in the World: the K Table, made by designer-architect Jacek Ostoya of Mebel Furniture. It’s built of solid walnut with a slightly offset strip of bright red-orange padauk wood that runs the length of the table. It’s stunning. It’s also $4,065 for the smallest size, a six-person, 72-inch table. We’re now trying to figure out how many meals we’d have to eat at it to justify the price.

Hi Meredith,
I have been coveting the K table for months. I was wondering, did you order the table directly from Mebel Furniture, or did you get it through another retailer? Since the price is a bit high, I’d have to convince my husband that I found where to get it at the best price in order to even have a chance at owning one :). Any tips would be much appreciated!
Thanks! Hope you’re enjoying it… I’m so jealous!
Sue
